ABOUT KINDSCHI

Rooted in Swiss Tradition - Kindschi's History

1860

The founding year

Martin Kindschi founded the Kindschi company in Davos in 1860 and ran a successful wine business, a winery and a distillery. In 1873, his son Peter joined the company and the name was changed to Kindschi und Sohn (Kindschi and Son). The family business continued to grow. With the inheritance to the three sons Martin, Jann and Peter, the name changed to Kindschi Söhne (Kindschi Sons).

1940 - 1985

Kindschi Söhne AG

The company developed into a public limited company. The winery and the wine business continued to expand. Finally, in 1981 and 1985, the fifth generation joined the company with Rico & Nando Kindschi.

1998 - 1999

Import business

In 1998, the Swiss Alcohol Board authorised the storage of spirits in warehouses, as a result of which Nando and Rico began importing spirits from other countries in 1999.

2019

Acquisition by Marussia Beverages Group

In 2019, Kindschi Söhne AG was acquired by the international Marussia Beverages Group, giving it access to a broad portfolio of handcrafted, high-quality spirits from all over the world. Since then, Kindschi Söhne AG has also functioned as an exclusive importer.
